Morris Stern

Morris Stern has extensive experience in general civil litigation, specializing in personal injury matters including wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, motor vehicle liability, dog bite liability, premises liability, products liability, and medical malpractice. Morris worked at two prominent defense firms in Los Angeles prior to founding Gilbert & Stern LLP in 2003.

Morris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. Morris then received his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in 1998. While in law school, Morris was a member of the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Team. He was also a judicial extern for Justice Earl Johnson, Jr., of the California Court of Appeal.

Morris was admitted to the California State Bar in 1998. He is also admitted to practice in the Central District Court of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In his spare time, Morris works with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization “Littles in Law,” where he works with underprivileged teenagers who have demonstrated an interest in the legal profession. He is also a member of CAALA, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Dan Gilbert

Prior to founding Gilbert & Stern LLP, Dan Gilbert worked on the defense side, representing insurance companies. He uses that knowledge of how defense firms and insurance companies operate in order to obtain successful settlements and positive outcomes for his clients.

Dan received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern California. While there, he was awarded the prestigious Order of Troy for Outstanding Student Recognition, which was given to the Top 50 students in his graduating class. He was President of his fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi, and also interned for a California Congressman. Dan earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2001. During law school, Dan received the First Honors Award in Ethical Lawyering for achieving the highest grade in the course.

Dan was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001, and is also admitted to practice in the Central District Court of California. Dan is a member of CAALA, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles.

Kelley Lazarovits

Kelley Lazarovits received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in 2004. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2007. During law school, Kelley was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient for all three years. She worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, and also volunteered with a legal services clinic, where she worked with many different clients on various pro bono issues.

Kelley was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. She is a member of CAALA, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She has been an associate at Gilbert & Stern LLP since 2007.

Sarah Christian

Sarah Christian received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. Sarah then attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010. During law school, Sarah was an Articles Editor on the Journal of the National Association of the Administrative Law Judiciary, in which her case note was published. She also worked as an extern for Judge Terry Hatter, Jr. of the Central District of California, with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office as a certified law clerk, and volunteered with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.

Sarah was admitted to the California State Bar in 2010. Sarah is a member of CAALA, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. She has been an associate at Gilbert & Stern LLP since 2010.
